Deck Cadet Jobs Offshore & Merchant Vessels
Deck Cadet? Training berths on offshore and merchant ships are live.
Deck cadets use CrewBase to find cadetships and trainee deck berths on OSVs, tankers, and offshore support vessels — sea time that counts toward an officer pathway.
Listings show vessel type, trading area, and whether the berth is a structured cadet programme or a junior deck seat with a training record book.
Search by region: UK and North Sea, UAE and the Persian Gulf, Norway, West Africa, and the Gulf of Mexico. Filter deck cadet openings on North Sea OSVs, Gulf tankers, and deep-sea merchant tonnage.
Typical scopes cover bridge familiarisation, mooring stations, and cargo watches under the chief officer. STCW basic safety and a valid medical are called out where agencies publish them.
Set alerts for deck cadet and trainee officer roles. Apply from the CrewBase jobs board or browse offshore role campaigns.
