Requirements
Show all vacanciesCandidates should have previous experience as a deckhand on commercially operated vessels. Competence in ropework, mooring, bunkering, watchkeeping, and vessel planned maintenance is essential. Experience with the operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and ancillary systems is required. STCW basic safety training certificates must be valid, including Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Survival Techniques, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities. An ENG1 Seafarer medical certificate is necessary, confirming fitness for lookout duties. Additional desirable qualifications include a Navigational Watch Rating Certificate, a current UK driving license, and training in Slinger Signaller and Automatic External Defibrillator.
