Requirements
Show all vacanciesCandidates must hold an OOW (Deck) STCW II/1 Certificate of Competence issued by UK MCA or a recognized equivalent, along with an MCA Seafarer Medical Certificate (ENG1) without restrictions. Five elements of basic training to STCW 95, STCW95 Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats, and Proficiency in Designated Security Duties are required. A valid UK passport or equivalent right to work in the UK is necessary, as well as a valid Discharge Book and a US C1/D Visa. Desirable qualifications include a Chief Mate STCW II/1 UK CoC or equivalent and relevant experience on a scientific research vessel or similar marine sector.
